Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islam Dhaka City South ameer Nurul Islam Bulbul said Muslim Ummah should stand and be united against all wrongdoings, injustice, oppression and repression in national life with lesson of Karbala.
Terming the Muharram as the historical and significant month, the first and foremost learning of Karbala is voicing against the tyrannical and autocratic rulers, he said.
“Muharram is much more than just mourning. The yearly ritual of remembrance acts as a reset button for many of us – an annual reminder for drilling into young minds the importance of standing up for what is right and for raising your voice against oppression, no matter who the oppressed or the oppressor is,” the central executive member said.
The Jamaat leader came up with the remarks while addressing a dua mahfil and discussion on occasion of holy Ashura on Tuesday at an auditorium in the capital Dhaka.
Nayeb e ameer Munjurul Islam Bhiyan and Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud, among many others, also spoke on the occasion.
Nurul Islam Bulbul further said that the government has established the rule of terror in the country to destroy Islam and Islamic values from the country.
The rights of the people of the country have been abducted. So, the activists of the Islamic movement must play the vital and decisive role in order to rid the country of the tyranny, fascism, mismanagement, oppression, torture and misrule, Nurul said.
Speaking on the occasion, Munjurul said “The Muharram10 is a significant day for the Muslims all over the world. There are many historical events on this day. That is why this day is considered a special day all over the world. The holy Ashura happened on this day in the heart of Karbala that is a heartbreaking incident.”
Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud said that “The holy Ashura witnessed many important events in the history of Islam. Every Muslim was shocked at the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hossain (RA), grandson of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). He did not surrender to the point of death and wrong, untrue and oppression.”
