Nurul Islam Bulbul takes oath as ameer of Jamaat Dhaka City South for second time
People do not want this government even for a moment : Dr Shafiq
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said the Awami League government will not allowed to cling to power anymore as its widespread misrule, incessant malgovernance and endemic corruption have turned the country into a failed state.
Dr. Shafiq said “There is no rights to freedom of expression in the country. Various black and repressive laws have been enacted to oppress and suppress the opposition parties and the media. The economy is about to collapse”.
He came up with the remarks at an oath taking ceremony in the capital on Saturday.
Speaking at the function, the Jamaat ameer also said the leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami cannot sit idly during this critical juncture.
This authoritarian government should be bid farewell through a systematic and peaceful movement, he said, adding that our movement will remain logical, systematic and peaceful for the greater interest of people.
If any evil person comes to disturb our movement, it must be dealt with with a iron fist. If the leaders and activists of the capital are able to play their proper and effective role, the farewell bell of the government will ring on time, Dr Shafic noted.
Jamaat acting secretary general Maulana ATM Masum presided over the swearing-in ceremony while Jamaat Dhaka City North ameer Muhammad Salim Uddin, Dhaka City South nayeb-e-ameer Manjurul Islam Bhuiya, secretary Dr Shafiqul Islam Masud, assistant secretaries advocate Dr. Helal Uddin, Delwar Hossain and Dr. Abdul Mannan, among others, were present at the event.
Maulana ATM Masum said that the countrymen must work together to remove the autocratic government.
He says this oppressive regime will not last longer and will be forced to leave the state power soon.
“So we have to be in the forefront to fulfill the expectations of the people and to meet their demands, he added.
Nurul Islam Bulbul urged the party grassroots to play a vital role in gaining and garnering the mass support.
The message of Islam should be delivered to every house in the city, Bulbul stated.
People of every profession should be brought under the shade of Islam, he added.
