Jamaat won’t accept nat’l election under AL govt or using EVM-Dr. Abdullah Mohammad Taher
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central Nayeb-e -Ameer Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher emphasized that a simultaneous mass movement must be built against the fascist government to hold a free, fair and impartial election.
Both Jamaat and BNP along with pro-democracy right and left, alliances should be built simultaneously to wage a mass movement, he also says.
Through this movement, the government should be overthrown and the nation should move forward in the right direction through elections under a non-partisan neutral government, he pointed out.
He also urged the members( rukon) of Jamaat should come forward to play a historic role in the coming days to fulfill the great responsibility of liberating the nation through struggle and sacrific once again.
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the member conference (Rukon) organized by Jamaat Dhaka City South on Friday.
Central Executive Council Member and Ameer of Jamaat Dhaka City South Nurul Islam Bulbul chaired the event.
Jamaat-e-Islami Acting Secretary General Maulana ATM Masum, Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim and Central Executive Council Member Advocate Matiur Rahman Akand were present the event as the special guests at the conference.
Dr Shafiqul Islam Masud moderated the function.
Speaking at the function, Maulana ATM Masum said, Bayat (oath) is fundamentally a contract with Allah Almighty. The vow of Rukniyyat is the practical expression of the promise we had to make to Allah Almighty.
Maulana Abdul Halim said, no person’s role and responsibility is essentially required for the Islamic movement, but it is vitally needed for every individual’s salvation, purpose and success.
“As a claim of faith, we must strive in the way of Allah for good”, he says.
He called upon the members of the Jamaat Dhaka City South to prepare themselves to play their proper role for the needs of the present critical juncture.
Advocate Matiur Rahman Akand stressed the importance of oath and said that everyone should strive to fulfill the right of oath.
He called upon the members of the Jamaat Dhaka City South to play a leading and great role in the establishment of Islam and Islamic movement.
Nurul Islam Bulbul said that the government has pushed the country towards bankruptcy through corruption, mismanagement, looting and smuggling of thousands of crores of Taka.
Inordinate increase in the price of oil, gas, electricity, the prices of daily necessities has gone beyond the purchasing power of people, he said.
The present government is in power by paralyzing the country’s politics and trampling on people’s right to vote. There is no opportunity for anyone to speak of opposing views. The democratic system has been destroyed to crash the country of opposition parties, Bulbul added.
