They said the rich and the poor and the elite and the common masses become united on the holy occasion and share the happiness of Eid.
“The both Eid-ul -Fitr and Eid al-Azha are two joyous days for the Muslims Umma. In this two, Muslims forget all the differences, color, jealousy and hatred, meet each other and go to the Eidgah to perform Salat (prayer).
“Not only Eid-ul-Fitr and Eidul Azha entertain us, but the two biggest occasions teach us the differences between people to bind in brotherhood and express harmony and solidarity and strengthen social bonds,” they said.
Islam is the religion of peace and harmony. There is no place for violence and hatred in Islam. It never supports terrorism and militancy. Islam holds the spirit of human values, mutual coexistence, tolerance towards the views of others, equality and friendship,” they said.

They urged the city people and all to be united and forge a movement to restore democracy in the country as the ruling Awami League government has killed the democracy and people’s voting rights by establishing a single-party rule.
They also said that the festival encourages people to offer sacrifice and exterminate social, political, economic inequality and exploitation for the formation of an exploitation-free society by instigating people in the ideals of sacrifice.
Both the leaders said Eid teaches peace, sense of fellow feeling and fraternity and brings a message of joy to the people of all walks of life.
They also hoped that the Muslim’s biggest festival would bring the message of happiness to all, irrespective of rich and poor.
