Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City South Ameer Nurul Islam Bulbul on Friday slammed the government for its failure to tackle the dengue outbreak utterly.
He also urged the government to provide subsidy to public and private hospitals to ensure free treatment of dengue infected patients.
“We are proposing that the government would provide subsidy for dengue treatment free of cost, he said”.
His call and criticism came at a leaflet distribution program in the city organized by Dhaka City South.
Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud also, among others, spoke on the occasion.
Dr. Masud said that dengue has already created a lot of panic among the people across the country.
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has continued its efforts to raise public awareness throughout the country with the need to be aware of the disease and to create public awareness to prevent the dengue menace, he added.
Leaflets were distributed at the city’s Jatrabari, Demra, Sonirakhra, Mailbag, Ramna, and Khilgaon areas aiming to create public awareness to fight against the dengue fever.
