Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City South Secretary Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud said all the Muslims should exert their efforts to build a piety-based society and state through remaining stick to the path of truth and justice.
Urging the Muslim Umma to conduct their life by taking a lesson from the historic incident of Shab—e-Meraj, the city secretary said the Shab -e-Meraj is the most significant event of Hazrat Mohammad’s (SM) life as a messenger of Allah.
Isra and Mi’raj, also known as Al Isra’ wal Miraj, is observed on the 27th day of the month of Rajab, the seventh month in the Islamic calendar. This event marks the night that Allah (God) took Mohammad (also known as Mohamed or Muhammed) on a journey from Mecca to Jerusalem and then to heaven.
He said “Meraj is the main source of Islamic procedure. We can take the lesson from the event and apply it to our practical life for the betterment of worldly-life and hereafter life.”
He came up with the remarks while addressing a discussion and dua mahfil on occasion of Shab-e-Meraj held at a city auditorium organized by Jamaat Dhaka City South. He also chaired the programme.
“The Almighty Allah arranged the historic event to show His vehement ascendency and supremacy and vastness of His knowledge over His creation,” Masud said.
For the Muslim Umma, it is an important incident, he added.
“Rasul (SM) got the fundamentals of Islam from the almighty of Allah on the night”, the Jamaat leader commented.
City assistant secretary advocate Helal Uddin moderated the function. City working committee members Abdus Sobur Fakir and Shamsur Rahman, among others, were present on the occasion.
Dr. Masud said, “On a significant night, Mohammad (sm) got 14 points of direction and advice from the Almighty Allah.”
“These 14 points of rewards from Allah will ensure the peace and prosperity for the betterment of the human kind till the doomsday,” he stated.
“We all should run our lives according to the teaching of the Sheb-e-Meraj,” he further said.
“Through the spiritual event, Mohammad (sm) directly witnessed the signs and significance of the creation of Allah and also experienced the Heaven and the Hell,” he added.
