Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City South mourned the deaths of Muslims in an infamous shooting at two mosques in New Zealand and protested the heinous and dastardly act against followers of Islam.
They also laid emphasis on concerted efforts to find out strategies to check the recurrence of such shameful anywhere in the world.
The protest came at a demonstration on March 21(Thursday) in the capital organized by the city unit.
Advocate Helal Uddin, who chaired the programme, said every conscious quarter should stand by the victims with empathy.
City working committee members Mokarram Hossain Khan, Shamsur Rahman and Dr. Abdul Mannan, among others, were present on the occasion.
The international community must develop ways and means to track down perpetrators of such acts before they can carry out any terrorist attack, the speakers added.
