Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami assistant secretary advocate Helal Uddin on Wednesday said Israeli atrocities in the Gaza Strip of Palestine have witnessed unprecedented brutality in the world history.
The leader protested and condemned the Israeli gunfire and inhuman massacre that killed more than 60 unarmed Palestinians while protesting the opening of US embassy in the holy city of Jerusalem and also marking the 70th anniversary of the Nakba (catastrophe).
The protest came at a protest rally in the capital Dhaka with the presence of several hundreds of people in response to Israeli’s blatant attack on unarmed Palestine civilians.
City working committee members Shamsur Rahman, Kamal Hossain, city north Majlise Shura member Motiur Rahman, Nijamul Huq Nayem, Hafijur Rahman, Muhibullah Farid, Abdul Bari Akanda, Chatrashibir Dhaka city south president Shafiul Alam, and Chatrashibir Dhaka City East president Sohel Rana Mithu, among others, were present at the demonstration.
“It is indeed a clear genocide committed by the Israeli soldiers as they opened massive gunfire against the unarmed Palestinians which left at least 58 peoples killed and over 2000 injured. I am urging the peace loving world communities to take stand against the brutal genocide of the Israeli authorities.
Paying no heed to the protesting Palestinians and world leader’s recommendations, US government opened its embassy in Jerusalem and demonstrated its utmost disrespect towards international law and convention. Moreover, they are backing the Israeli authorities to commit more atrocities. The peoples around the world are deeply shocked and angered over the US authority’s role in recent times.
The massacre of 14th May is the worst since 2014. United Nations already expressed deep concern in this regard and OIC, European Union and other global platforms also condemned the incident. Despite such condemnations, Israeli authorities are continuing their genocide. Their brutalities and inhuman crackdowns are exceeding all limits.
I am calling upon the world communities including the United Nations, OIC and peace loving nations to take effective measures to stop Israeli brutalities against the Palestinians.
