Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City South ameer Nurul Islam Bulbul distributed rickshaws and vans among the working class people at the city’s Kadamtali on Wednesday.
These rickshaws and vans were handed over them as an income generating tool to create self-employment at a ceremony organized by Jamaat Dhaka City South.
The programme was moderated by the city assistant secretary Delwar Hossain.
Abdus Salam, president , Bangladesh Workers Welfare Federation and city working committee member Md. Hafizur Rahman, city Majlis Shura members Shahin Ahmed Khan and Kabirul Islam, among others, were present at the event.
While distributing rickshaws and vans, Nurul Islam Bulbul said that despite various adversities, Jamaat-e-Islami is providing all possible support to the working people for the welfare and self-employment of the country.
For the satisfaction of Allah Almighty, Jamaat-e-Islami is providing different types of income generating tool to the working people.
Besides, it is also giving support to helpless and deprived people from all walks of life across the country, he says.
Today, not only Bangladesh but the whole world is in turmoil due to the Ukraine and Russia war, while oppression, malpractice and corona are also prevailing all over the world, he stated.
As a result , many people in our country have become unemployed. Unemployment and poverty have risen alarmingly, Bulbul said.
In this situation, the ruling Awami League government has failed to take appropriate measures for the self-employment of those unemployed and helpless people, he lamented.
So, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, as an ideological, people-oriented and political party, has extended a helping hand to make unemployed people self-reliant, he mentioned.
Bulbul also called upon the wealthy people of the society including government, private sectors and donor agencies to come forward to create self-employment for the disadvantaged people of the society.
Bulbul further said that Jamaat has been working relentlessly for the welfare of humanity and development of the destiny of the masses since its inception.
Jamaat is working hard for the worldly and spiritual development of the people including self-employment, elimination of unemployment, development of education, creation of moral values among the people in practice, Bulbul, who is also the party central executive committee member ,said.
At the same time, our party is determined and committed to establish a society and build a prosperous nation on the basis of justice and rule of law.
So, in order to move the country and the nation towards overall development, all must be united under the banner of Islam, he added.
