Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has said its party is fully committed to ensure due rights for every citizen in the country as it aims to establish a welfare state.
The Jamaat Ameer said this while visiting and distributing gift items among the flood victims of Dewanganj Upazila under Jamalpur district.
Among others, central executive committee member and Dhaka city South Ameer Nurul Islam Bulbul, central organizing secretary Dr. Samiul Haq Faruqee, Jamalpur district Ameer Nazmul Haq Sayedee, Jamalpur district secretary Humayun Kabir, Dhaka city South’s Assistant Secretary Advocate Dr. Helal Uddin, and local leaders were present on that occasion.
Dr Shafiq said just yesterday this place was dry but today everything has been inundated and destroyed by flooding.
“We have no capacity to remove your sufferings. But amid such a tough situation, the way you expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah, I am praying to Allah so that He becomes pleased with you. May Allah bestow mercy upon you, and bless you with long life”, he said.
Jamaat wants to establish a society free from discrimination and differences. Everybody will live happily and peacefully, he added.
