It’s our moral responsibility to spread message of Islamic movement everywhere: Jamaat Ameer Dr Shafiq
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman urged all the Muslims including his partymen to preach the true message of Islam and Islamic movement for the sake of satisfying Allah the Almighty.
He also called upon all activists and leaders of Jamaat Dhaka City South to build every corner of its area as ‘the Medina of Islamic movement’.
His call came at an Eid reunion and cultural program organized by Jamaat Dhaka City South on Wednesday.
Jamaat Dhaka City South ameer Nurul Islam Bulbul chaired the meeting while the city secretary Dr Shafiqul Islam Masud moderated it.
Jamaat Nayeb-e-Ameer Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, Acting Secretary General Maulana ATM Masum, Assistant Secretary General AHM Hamidur Rahman Azad and Maulana Abdul Halim also spoke on the occasion.
Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir Hafez Rashedul Islam, Jamaat Central Executive Council Members Motiur Raham Akand, Selim Uddin and Mubarak Hossain, among others, also present at the event.
Jamaat Dhaka City South Nayeb-e-Ameer Munjurul Islam Bhiyan, assistant secretaries Advocate Helal Uddin, Delwar Hossain, Kamal Hossain and Dr Abdul Mannan, among others, were present at the meeting.
On behalf of the children of the martyred and oppressed families, Mamun Al Azmi, son of former Jamaat ameer Professor Ghulam Azam (RA), Barrister Najib Momen, son of Shaheed( Martyred) former Jamaat ameer Maulana Matiur Rahman Nizami, son of former Secretary General Shahid(Martyred) Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid, also spoke on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Jamaat Ameer Dr Shafiq said the nation is experiencing this occasion in such a period when it becomes extremely difficult for low-income people to lead their lives due to excessive price hikes of the essentials. Law and order situation has deteriorated alarmingly. People are being killed in broad daylight. Under such an atmosphere, I am extending greetings of Eid-ul-Fitr to the countrymen in a saddened mood.
He also urges the people to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr through mutual assistance and cooperation.
“May Allah protect us from all odds and dangers, and bestow mercy on our country and our fellow countrymen”, Dr Shafiq added.
