Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City South distributed food packets among disadvantaged working people ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr in the city’s Shampur area.
City secretary and central working committee member secretary Dr Shafiqul Islam Masud handed over the food items ahead of Eid celebration on Friday.
Bangladesh Workers Welfare Federation Shampur Zone organized the program.
Abdus Salam, central assistant general secretary of Bangladesh Workers Welfare Federation and President of Dhaka City South, among others, was present as special guest on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Masud said if the Islamic labor policy is established, the real welfare of the workers will be ensured.
He further said that Jamaat-e-Islami is giving its utmost efforts to spread the teachings of the Quran in the society and the state.
For the welfare of the country and the nation, it is also working to create a skilled and moral golden people, he said, adding that if the Islamic way of life establishes in the country, then every citizen including the working people of the country will get back their just rights.
