Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City South arranged a discussion, marking the holy Siratunnabi (sm) in the capital Dhaka.
The programme was held at a city auditorium.
The dicussion was chaired by Jamaat-e-Islam Dhaka City South ameer Nurul Islam Bulbul while its Nayeb-e-Ameer Prof Mujibur Rahman (former MP of Rajshahi-1) was present as the chief guest.
City secretary Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud also moderated the ceremony.
The meeting was also attended by city nayeb-e-ameer Manjurul Islam Bhuiyan, assistant secretaries Advocate Helal Uddin, Delwar Hossain, city working committee members Abdus Sabur Fakir and Professor Mokarram Hossain, Abdus Salam and Kamal Hossain, among others, were present at the function.
Speaking on the occasion, former lawmaker Prof Mujibur Rahman said Hazrat Muhammad (SM) is the ideal of all walks of our life while this ideal will have to be followed in all sectors.
The mankind now find the fruitful instructions along with lesson for their life from the life of Hazrat Muhammad (SM), he stated.
Hazrat Muhammad (SM) gave efforts to bring reform in the society before the time of his prophethood in Makka but could not succeed, he said.
However, our prophet was fully successful in building a peaceful society during his 23-year period of prophethood, when the holy Quran was revealed to him from almighty Allah, he continued.
Human-being-made rules could not bring people’s welfare rather only the formula bestowed by the almighty Allah can do so, the central Jamaat leader said, and urged all to follow the holy Quran in all walks of their lives.
Hazrat Muhammad (SM) was known as ‘Al-Amin (faithful)’ before his prophethood; when he started to call the Makka people to accept Islam, they began to torture him, Halim said.
Maulana further said that Jamaat had been working to establish a welfare-society in the country following the formula given by almighty Allah and the path showed by Hazrat Muhammad (SM); Islam could not be established by force or arms; Islam never support militancy.
He laid stress on presenting beauty of Islam to the people and bring change in their mindset in this regard.
Nurul Islam Bulbul said “We will have to move forward to establish Islam following the path showed by Hazrat Muhammad (SM).”
The people, who declared to establish Islam after taking power with assurance of removing food crises, cannot realize the actual meaning of Islam and the life of Hazrat Muhammad (SM), he said.
Muhammad (sm) played a leading role in establishing people’s rights, the city ameer added.
