Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said the initiatives and engagement of today’s youth would turn Bangladesh into a developed and prosperous country.
Terming the youth section in the country the most neglected, he said the state has no contribution in developing their talents.
On the contrary, all the arrangements for the destruction of the intellect of the youth have already been arranged and implemented , according to him.
He was speaking as the chief guest at a prize distribution and discussion meeting of Sirat Path( reading) Competition on the occasion of Siratunnabi (PBUH) organiged by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City South at an auditorium in the capital on Monday night.
Jamaat Dhaka City South chaired the meeting while Dr Shafiqul Islam Mashud moderated it.
The party Neyeb-e-Ameer and former Member of Parliament Prof. Mojibur Rahman, Central Acting Secretary General Maulana ATM Masum,Jamaat Dhaka City North ameer Selim Uddin, Central Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim, Central Executive Council Member Mubarak Hossain, eminent academician and former Vice Chancellor of Manarat International University Professor Abdur Rob, eminent Islamic thinker Maulana Lutfur Rahman, Central Working Committee member Dr. Maulana Khalilur Rahman Madani, among others, spoke on the occasion.
Speaking at the event, Dr Shafiq said “Our younger generation is our key driving force. Today’s youths will prepare themselves for the days to come as they can take ahead the country. And this trend will continue generation after generation”.
With great difficulty some young people are struggling to develop their own talents. In the next stage, the fields of their intellectual development are being destroyed, he said.
Now is the time to put an end to all oppression and to play a united role for the welfare of the country and the nation, he added.
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said that the rights of the youth in Bangladesh have been hijacked today.
In this situation, the youth of the country must wake up against the oppressors. , the Jamaat chief said.
“We have to play a strong role in realizing all our just rights against the unjust ruler”, he stated.
He also called on the youth to create a historic revolution for the liberation of humanity.
