Martyred Intellectuals Day: Judicial inquiry commission should be formed to identify those involved in the killing of martyred intellectuals – Nurul Islam Bulbul

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City South ameer Nurul Islam Bulbul called upon to form judicial inquiry commission to identify those involved in the killing of martyred intellectuals.
Bangladesh is observing Martyred Intellectuals Day on Tuesday to commemorate the intellectuals killed by the Pakistani occupation forces and their local collaborators in 1971.
He came up with the call at a discussion and prayer program on occasion of Martyred Intellectuals Day, organized by Jamaat Dhaka City South on Tuesday.
Nurul Islam Bulbul said the ruling Awami League( AL) party has used the context of the 1971 liberation war as a political tactic to suppress the opposition parties including Jamaat-e-Islami which the entire nation has witnessed for long.
The ruling party has killed the top and national leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami by staging false dramas like crimes against humanity by hiding the real truth, he said.
“We commemorate the contribution of the martyred freedom fighters and the martyred intellectuals who gave their lives for the independence of the country in 1971 and accepted immense sacrifices by participating in the great liberation war”, the city Jamaat chief said.
At the same time, he expressed his condolences to all the members of the affected families of the intellectual martyred.
Even though 50 years have passed since the victory, the basic spirit of the war of independence is still being plundered, he mentioned.
Therefore, in order to uphold the original spirit of the liberation war and to realize the dreams of the martyrs, everyone must be united in establishing a just society in Bangladesh, he stated.
City nayeb-e-ameer Manjurul Islam Bhuiyan, assistant secretaries advocate Helal Uddin, Muhammad Delwar Hossain and Abdul Jabbar, among others, also spoke on the occasion.
Nurul Islam Bulbul said that just one day before the victory, the nation’s conscience were killed.
“We believe that this planned assassination was carried out to deprive then newly formed Bangladesh of its leadership after the liberation war victory”.
In its continuation, the top leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami have been killed again today, he said.
In fact, there is no such thing as rule of law and human rights in the country, he again stated.
The people’s right to vote and freedom of expression have been taken away. Corruption and misrule have engulfed the entire nation. There is no security of human life, property and dignity. Today, questions are being raised about the human rights situation in the country from various domestic and international quarters which is very embarrassing for us as a nation, he added.
