Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City South nayeb-e-ameer Munjurul Islam Bhiyan said individuals, families, and the state must abide by the provisions of the Qur’an and the Sunnah to survive the ongoing catastrophe.
Munjurul, who is also a central working committee member, said that Jamaat-e-Islami has always extended a helping hand to the people of this country in all disasters and will continue in the future.
He was speaking as the chief guest at a function to distribute mosquito nets among the city’s helpless and downtrodden people at Kamrangir Char in the capital on Friday.
Jamaat Dhaka City South took the initiative to help the helpless, hapless, and poor in the capital.
He further said that according to the Al-Quran, all the disasters caused in the world are the consequences of man’s own hands.
Many calamities have befallen us today because we, the inhabitants of this society, have forgotten the commands of Allah and are following our own imaginary doctrines, he pointed out.
“Today, as we have moved far away from the Qur’an and Sunnah, we are facing various disasters including dengue and corona crisis. In order to avoid this, we have to establish the provisions of Quran and the Sunnah in every individual’s life, family, and state”, he said.
Jamaat Dhaka City assistant secretary Advocate Helal Uddin chaired the function.
Kamrangir Char thana ameer Mojibur Rahman, among others, was present at the function.
