Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City South Ameer Nurul Islam Bulbul and Secretary Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud have expressed their deep shock at the death of Dr. Abdur Rab. He was 62.
The deceased, who was a former secretary and also a working committee member of New Market Thana Unit of Jamaat Dhaka City South and, died at 6 am on Thursday at a private hospital while undergoing treatment.
Late Islam left behind wife, two daughters, and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
Both the leaders prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed profound sympathy to the bereaved family members.
They also remembered his massive role in preaching Islam in society.
Bulbul and Dr. Masud also urged the family members to be patient and Allah-fearing in this regard.
The funeral prayer of late Dr. Abdur Rab was held after the Zuhr prayer on Thursday in the city’s Kataban area.
