Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City South Ameer Nurul Islam Bulbul and Secretary Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud have expressed their deep shock at the death of Nazrul Islam. He was 58.
The deceased, who was a worker of Motijheel thana of the Jamaat Dhaka City South, died of novel coronavirus (COVID 19) at his home in the capital at 10:30 pm on Wednesday.
Late Islam left behind wife, three sons and host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
The funeral prayer was held at 9:00 am on Thursday in the city’s Gopibag area. Later he was buried at Khilgaon-Taltola graveyard in the city.
Both the leaders prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed profound sympathy to the bereaved family members.
They also remembered his massive role in preaching Islam in society.
Bulbul and Dr. Masud also urged the family members to be patient and Allah-fearing in this regard.
