Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City South ameer Nurul Islam Bulbul said Islam is termed as an umbrella under which all people irrespective of religion and caste can take shelter.
It also ensures the economic security of all people while religious security along with food is guaranteed, he pointed out.
Jamaat Dhaka City South chief made the remark at an inaugural ceremony of the distribution of various necessities including winter clothes for the helpless people at a city auditorium.
Muh. Delwar Hossain, city assistant secretary, among others, was present at the program as the special guest.
Speaking at the function as the chief guest, Nurul Islam Bulbul said Jamaat-e-Islami works for the welfare of all the people of the country.
His party will continue to support all people irrespective of religion and caste in any calamity, he said, adding that his party members have always nurtured the true attitude of Islam towards the people of the independent sovereign country.
“We want a safe and secured country for people of all faiths to live in peace and harmony, where there will be no discrimination between the citizens of the state”, he said.
He called upon all to unite under the banner of Jamaat-e-Islami to uphold the spirit of patriotism and to realize the real aspirations of the people for economic liberation as well as the establishment of a society based on justice and fairness free from all discrimination.
